15th may 2022 became a historic day for Indian Badminton. The Indian badminton contingent defeated the defending champions Indonesia 3-0. With this India won the Thomas Cup for the first time ever.

Outstanding performances were shown by Lakshya sen, Kidambi Srikanth, Chirag Shetty, and Satwiksairaj. This is a monumental victory for the Indian Badminton.
